The Diocese of Kiteto is a new Anglican Diocese, inaugurated on July 12, 2009 after her historical service of consecrating her first Bishop, the Rt. Reverend Isaiah Chambala.

The Diocese of Kiteto is amongst twenty-two dioceses of the Anglican Church of Tanzania. It covers two districts, Kiteto and Simanjiro Districts, which are among the districts of Manyara region. It has 8 deaneries, 35 parishes, around 140 congregations with more than 15,000 members. The head office of the diocese is found in Kibaya, the capital town of Kiteto district.

The Diocese of Kiteto was originally part of the Diocese of Mount Kilimanjaro which was originally part of the Diocese of Central  Tanganyika.
